SCDC: Woman attempted to bring contraband into Tyger River Correctional, charged |

A Lexington woman was charged after South Carolina Department of Corrections officers said she attempted to bring contraband into Tyger River Correctional Institution in Enoree. SCDC officials said Christy Leigh Mills, 36, was arrested Saturday during inmate visitation at Tyger River. Arrest warrants indicate she attempted to give an inmate eight Klonopin pills and some tobacco. Corrections officials said the substances are listed on a published and clearly marked list of contraband items. Read More. |
